Ovesco begins distribution of products “Assembled in the USA”

The first products assembled at the Ovesco site in Cary, North Carolina, are now being shipped to customers in North and Latin America. Two years ago, Ovesco Endoscopy USA moved to its new US headquarters in Cary with the goal of building production capacity. To date, all Ovesco products used worldwide have been produced and shipped from the Tübingen facility.

In close cooperation with the employees from Tübingen, Ovesco Endoscopy USA has set up a clean room and production processes. The same processes – assembly, packaging, sterilization and labeling – that take place in Germany and have made Ovesco’s products successful worldwide are now also carried out in the USA.

“This is a significant step for us. Our production teams in the US and Germany have been in close contact and will continue to do so. Without their great work, this would not have been possible. We look forward to delivering the first Assembled in the USA products to our customers!” says Geoffrey Yates, President Ovesco Endoscopy USA Inc.

The first shipment of the proven OTSC® System, an innovative clip for hemostasis and closure of lesions and fistulas in the gastrointestinal tract, will be delivered to customers in America this month.
