Prof. Dr. med. Marc O. Schurr
Chief Executive Officer
Marc Schurr was founder of Ovesco in 2008 and is the company’s CEO since 2021. Schurr successfully led Ovesco’s technology & product development and international market launches. Before founding Ovesco, Marc Schurr held various positions in academia, contract research and consulting and became a serial entrepreneur, creating an incubator for medical products in Tübingen. He joined Steinbeis University Berlin in 2005, where he performed a variety of teaching and scientific responsibilities as Director of the IHCI Institute until 2021. He is serving on various institutions and boards in industry, medicine and investment, as well as non-profit organisations.
Marc Schurr graduated as a medical doctor from Eberhard-Karls University School of Medicine, Tuebingen, is a certified physician and holds a medical science degree from the same institution.
Geoffrey E. Yates
Executive Board Member of Ovesco Endoscopy AG
Mr. Geoffrey Yates is elected as a further member of the Executive Board from July 01, 2021 until the end of June 30, 2024.
President of Ovesco Endoscopy USA Inc. and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for the Americas
Mr. Yates brings over 30 years of experience in the medical device field to Ovesco Endoscopy. He is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Yates has extensive experience in sales, sales management, international marketing, and senior marketing management with companies, Boston Scientific, Smith and Nephew Endoscopy, Abbott Vascular, Bard Electrophysiology, and a variety of startup ventures. Mr. Yates joined Ovesco Endoscopy USA at corporate inception in June of 2010 as President.
General Manager / Sales & Marketing Director of Ovesco Endoscopy France SAS
Mr. Lambert has an extensive knowledge of medical device industry in fields of cardiovascular, surgery, urology and endoscopy. He has graduated from ESSEC & HEC Executive Education in Business Development and Marketing. Prior to joining Ovesco Endoscopy, he held several European level positions in sales and marketing for several companies including Baxter, CR Bard, WL Gore & Boston Scientific.
Mr. Lambert created the Ovesco Endoscopy France subsidiary in October 2019 as the General Manager.
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Chi-Nghia Ho
Senior Vice President of Therapeutic Devices Division
Chi-Nghia Ho completed his medical technology studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. He joined Ovesco in 2003, where he started his career as an R&D engineer. In addition to development, he was also responsible for production, quality management and regulatory affairs.
Since 2006, Chi-Nghia Ho has been responsible for research and development at Ovesco. Specialising in the development and design of trend-setting medical products, he was involved in challenging and successful projects, such as the product lines based on OTSC technology. Chi-Nghia Ho has received several prestigious scientific awards in the national and international arena, such as the BMT Award of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering (2003) and the Innovation of the Year Award of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (2017 & 2019).
From 2008 to 2011, Chi-Nghia Ho was Director of Engineering. Since 2001, he has held the role of Vice President of the Therapeutic Devices Division.
Dr. sc. hum. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Sebastian Schostek
Senior Vice President of Diagnostic Systems Division
Dr. Sebastian Schostek graduated in Engineering Physics from the Munich University of Applied Sciences in 2004, and received his PhD degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Eberhard Karls University Tuebingen in 2010. He worked as research fellow and lecturer at the IHCI - Institute of Healthcare Industries, Steinbeis University Berlin, before he joined novineon Healthcare Technology Partners GmbH, Tuebingen, as Business Unit Director in the fields of technological and medical research, medical product development, contract research, and business consulting. Throughout his career, he was involved in a number of national and international research projects. His work led to numerous publications, patents, lectures and awards. In 2011, he accepted the position as Vice President of the Division Diagnostic Systems at Ovesco.
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Gunnar Anhöck
Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations
As a graduate in biomedical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Jena, Germany, Gunnar Anhöck joined Ovesco in 2007 as an R&D engineer. Prior to this, he worked at the Fraunhofer Technology Development Group, Stuttgart, Germany, where he was involved in ambitious and innovative projects in the field of mechatronics. At Ovesco, Gunnar Anhöck was quickly promoted to head of production and subsequently to director of engineering. Under his care, production facilities were successfully expanded, and he implemented a sound infrastructure for logistics and controlling to sustain the company’s growth. In 2015, Gunnar Anhöck was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations, officially joining the Ovesco management team.
Dipl.-Kfm. Azzedine Bouteraa
Senior Vice President of Finance
Azzedine Bouteraa is a graduate of the French Grenoble Ecole de Management with a Master of Finance. After gaining controlling experience in the automotive field among world players at different positions (R&D, production, investment), he joined Ovesco in April 2014.
His expertise all along the product process from the idea to the market enabled him to set up a global controlling management in the company. By keeping it up-to-date, he supports Ovesco growth and safeguards its innovative spirit.
Director of Accounting
Anette Bort completed her studies in business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Reutlingen and continued her training as a balance sheet accountant. She has been with Ovesco since 2014 and has contributed significantly to the success of the company with her experience in accounting and HR. Mrs Bort was instrumental in driving forward the digitization in HR and accounting. In addition to being head of accounting, Mrs Bort is responsible for the dual training at Ovesco.
Director Key Accounts
Monika Menke has extensive experiences in the medical field. She managed a medical practice and was a pharmaceutical sales representative at Boehringer Ingelheim before founding her own sales agency, successfully working with pharmacies and in the field of practice marketing. After changing her focus to hospital marketing and sales and establishing contacts in many southern German hospitals, she joined the Ovesco sales team in January 2013.
As a highly knowledgeable and passionate sales representative, Monika Menke was essential in securing Ovesco’s success in the region of Bavaria. As Director Key Accounts, her expertise and enthusiasm are ensuring that all Ovesco products continue to thrive and succeed in southern Germany.
Commercial Director Europe
Johan Ceuppens has a long history in the medical field. After his bachelor's degree in Hospital Sciences and Management, he held several management positions in internationally renowned Medical Device companies. Johan can be described as experienced Sales, Marketing and General Manager with a national and international track record in developing and executing sales strategies and ambitious sales plans, directly to end-users as well as in B2B. Johan joined Ovesco Endoscopy AG in 2008 in the position of Commercial Director Europe.
Aleksandra Michalke, M. A.
Vice President of People Operations
Aleksandra Michalke is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences Heilbronn, Germany with a Master of Arts in International Business & Intercultural Management (with a main focus on Human Resources Management). She has extensive experience in HR matters with international companies in the electrical engineering as well as engineering services sectors. She joined Ovesco in September 2019. Her expertise in HR administration, HR projects, process organization and optimization enables her to implement a state-of-the-art HR management for our company. This considerably supports the successful implementation of our growth strategy.
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Christoph Damm
Quality Management & Regulatory Affairs
After graduating in medical technology from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Christoph Damm initially entered professional life as a quality engineer specializing in quality inspection and process validation.
Whilst formerly holding leading positions in quality management and also quality assurance in the medical device industry, he acquired a profound knowledge covering the field of design controls and quality management over the entire product life cycle, risk management, clean room production of sterile products and FDA compliance.
Since September 2019 Christoph Damm is the Head of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs at Ovesco.
Vice President of Sales
Philipp Siebrecht joined Ovesco in 2022 as Vice President of Sales to further grow Ovesco’s local and international sales activities and expand Ovesco’s collaboration with its global sales and distribution partners. He brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales from various industries to the group. Before joining Ovesco, Philipp held numerous leadership positions in marketing and sales in the life science, medical device, and healthcare industry. He studied business administration with focus on marketing, sales, and controlling in Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, and Alicante (Spain). Philipp is also certified Business and Management Coach from St. Gallen based Coach Academy Switzerland.
Commercial Director MEA and Australasia
Devan Kizhakee Kurichyath has an extensive experience in Medical Device Industry for over 23 years – Sales management, Dealer management with renowned companies like Johnson & Johnson Ethicon, BBraun Aesculap, Conmed Corporation, for MEA, subcontinent region and most recently with Novadaq (acquired by Stryker) for South Central Asian markets. He graduated in Science from Christ College and SCMS India.
Devan joined Ovesco in the position of Commercial Director MEA, Asia Pacific and Australia as of October 2017.
James Potts, B. Sc.
Vice President of Sales, Ovesco Endoscopy USA Inc.
With a degree in business management and marketing, James was well equipped to enter a position as regional manager at Business Methods in the state of New York. After two years, he joined Stryker Endoscopy as a sales representative, starting a highly successful career in the sector of medical devices. He was soon recruited by Olympus, where he held a long-standing position managing their Western and Central New York territory. In 2012, James began working with Ovesco Endoscopy USA as a sales representative. In 2015, James fully joined the company as Director of Sales for the East Coast. Ovesco is excited to benefit from his extensive experience and his dedication to our highly innovative products.
Julie Easter, M.Sc.
Director of Marketing and Clinical Training, Ovesco Endoscopy USA Inc.
Ms. Easter brings over 15 years of experience in the medical device field to Ovesco Endoscopy USA. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration prior to earning a Master of Science degree from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Easter has extensive experience in customer relations, clinical training, international marketing, product management. She has led the product launch efforts of several technologies to the global marketplace throughout her career in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Ovesco Endoscopy USA in January of 2016 as Marketing Manager, Julie spent over 12 years at Cook Medical.
