ArgoCap® wins ESGE Innovation of the Year Award 2025

At the ESGE Days 2025 in Barcelona, Julius Müller was awarded the Innovation of the Year Award 2025 for his work on “The ArgoCap®- a novel device to facilitate thermal ablation“. The ArgoCap® was launched in 2024 and is an endoscopic cap that simplifies APC treatment. It enables secure guidance and firm fixation of the APC probe during treatment. Thanks to the defined position of the probe in the cap, focused treatment is possible under direct visual control. In addition, the cap keeps the probe away from the tissue and thus reduces the risk of tissue adhesion, even during gastrointestinal peristalsis.

The ArgoCap® is part of the ScopeCaps, a product family of endoscopic caps, each developed to aid in resolving an endoscopic challenge. Three of the four ScopeCaps have won the ESGE Innovation of the year award – the OTSG Xcavator®, a tool that aids in the removal of foreign bodies or necrotic tissue, the BougieCap for the dilation of stenoses and strictures under direct visual control and now also the ArgoCap®.
