Use of the ArgoCap®
The ArgoCap® is an endoscopic cap designed to facilitate argon plasma coagulation (APC) treatment in the gastrointestinal tract. APC is commonly used for the endoscopic treatment of:
- Barrett's esophagus
- Ectopic gastric mucosa
- GAVE syndrome
- Angiodysplasia
- Radiation proctitis
The ArgoCap®
The ArgoCap® enables secure guidance and firm fixation of the APC probe during argon plasma coagulation. The defined position of the APC probe inside the cap allows focused treatment under direct visual control*.
The cap shields the probe from tissue contact, reducing the risk of tissue adhesion - even during gastrointestinal peristalsis.
The special cap design angles the probe, which improves endoscopic handling and increases accessibility to the target tissue.
As the probe is guided along the outside of the endoscope shaft, the working channel remains free, e.g. for the simultaneous use of an additional instrument.
One packaging unit contains three caps.
