Ovesco Endoscopy has been created by a group of scientists and clinicians leveraging their knowledge and research assets in the field of advanced endoscopic and surgical procedures in the gastrointestinal tract.

Our core competence is to invent endoluminal procedures and technologies that provide significant advantage to patients and clinicians in the field of gastrointestinal diseases. Our employees strive to develop and market products of outstanding quality and customer benefit.

We develop, manufacture and market instruments and systems for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. We offer comprehensive procedures, not only products, and support you all the way from training to intervention.

Ovesco’s hallmark are innovative endoscopic clipping systems. The OTSC® is our product platform for the treatment of gastrointestinal hemorrhage and for endoscopic digestive organ wall closure. Our clip technology forms a solid basis for many other procedures. Over the years, our portfolio has been expanded by novel resection techniques, such as FTRD® and RESECT+, and also diagnostic sensor capsules, such as the HemoPill®.

Our headquarters is based in Tuebingen, Germany. Furthermore, Ovesco has locations in France, India and the USA. Patients are treated with Ovesco products in over 80 countries worldwide.

Our Purpose

Ovesco Endoscopy AG was founded by a group of scientists and medical practitioners. It is our aim and ambition to facilitate the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal diseases with our instruments and procedures for interventional endoscopy, to offer minimally-invasive solutions to improve their quality of life. We accompany physicians and healthcare professionals along the entire path from training to intervention. The products of Ovesco Endoscopy AG could already save the lives of many acutely ill patients. This makes our entire team proud and drives us to further innovations.

Humanitarian Aid and Health Promotion

As a medical technology company, the promotion of health is particularly important to us. That is why we support people in need with a wide variety of projects.

Ovesco Endoscopy and our employees regularly collect donations to support the "Help for Sick Children" foundation, a children's health initiative at the University Hospital of Tübingen. We do this through joint actions in favour of the foundation and thus support its work for sick children and their families.

We also carry out various other projects and initiatives to help people in need both regionally and internationally.

The coexistence of family and career is an important topic, especially in a performance-oriented environment. It is our concern to support the compatibility of family and career and to reduce conflicts between professional development and a fulfilled private life.

Since 2018 Ovesco Endocsopy is awarded with the "familyNET award" for being a "family-conscious company". Our organization has been assessed in the areas of leadership, human resources development, organization, communication, financial and family services, health and community involvement, etc.

For the parents among our employees, the MiniCampus offers a company day care facility at our corporate headquarters.

Internationality and diversity are a matter of course for us. A third of our employees have a history of migration in their families. At our headquarters in Tübingen alone, we employ people from 16 nations.

Environmental and Species Protection

We are committed to preserving our environment and using renewable energy.

Ovesco Endoscopy contributes to energy conservation and carbon reduction with its corporate building, operations and mobility behaviour. Our head office is a low-energy building according to the E55 energy standard and uses only about half the energy needed for normal buildings. We also operate a sophisticated photovoltaic system and buy 100% of the remaining electricity from renewable energy sources, making us completely carbon neutral from an electricity point of view.

With our CO2-compensated sales vehicle fleet, Ovesco sales representatives visit our customers in a carbon neutral way.

DEGEA

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Endoskopiefachberufe e.V. represents the interests of state-recognized healthcare professions in the field of endoscopy. DEGEA promotes exchange, supports specialist training for nursing staff and medical assistants and works with various committees and organizations at the national, European and international level. Ovesco supports the work of DEGEA as the main sponsor.

Endoscopy Campus

Their priority is the exchange of knowledge for and with young and experienced doctors specializing in endoscopy. The focus is on the exchange of knowledge, from the latest techniques and current literature to established procedures and case studies. Ovesco supports the work of the Endoscopy Campus as a Gold Sponsor.

European Hereditary Tumour Group (EHTG)

The group aims to improve the lives of families with a genetic predisposition to tumors. EHTG focuses on educational work, the development of guidelines, and collaborative studies. The particular focus is on hereditary gastro-intestinal tumor syndromes. Ovesco has sponsored the group's work since 2022.

Gastroenterology Foundation e.V

The association has set itself the goal of providing people in emerging countries with access to medical care in the field of gastroenterology. They focus on long-term projects and offer concrete developmental aid to establish and equip endoscopy departments as well as training courses in Germany. Ovesco makes regular donations to the association to support its work.

Tigers

Basketball has been an integral part of the sports scene in Tübingen for over 60 years. The Tigers Tübingen can look back on an eventful history full of successes and are also ideally positioned for the future. As a company based in Tübingen, Ovesco has been a top partner of the Tigers for many years.

The BSFZ seal awarded by the Certification Centre for Research Grants (BSFZ) of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research certifies that companies are engaged in research and development and can therefore apply for research grant funding. Every year, the Oskar Patzelt Foundation awards a Grand Prize for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises to medium-sized companies in Germany. Various aspects are considered holistically, from a company’s economic development to job creation and innovation. Ovesco Endoscopy received the prize in 2023.
