What is the stentFIX System?

The stentFIX System is an innovative solution for fixing metal stents in the digestive tract and can be used for both self-expanding metal stents (SEMS) and lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMS).

The stentFIX System is specially designed to meet the requirements of stent fixation. Its compact design allows it to be inserted through stents with a diameter of 18 mm or more, enabling the stents to be fixed both proximally and distally. The cap allows easy positioning at the edge of the stent, ensuring optimal engagement with the stent mesh and tissue. The design of the clip adapts perfectly to the gastrointestinal anatomy. This effectively prevents stent migration.

The clip is made of super-elastic Nitinol® and exerts a constant force on the tissue in the application area, thus securing the positioning of the stent. In addition, the clip is biocompatible and conditionally MR safe and can remain in the body as a long-term implant.

Advantages of the stentFIX System

  • Easy to use: the specially designed cap allows easy positioning on the stent
  • Optimal wall adaptation thanks to special clip design
  • Enables proximal and distal fixation
  • Compact design allows passage through stents with a diameter of 18 mm or more

Dimensions and specifications

stentFIX System
a Clip width = compression width 8.6 mm
b Max. outer diameter 15.9 mm
c Compatible endoscope diameter 8.5–11 mm
d Cap depth 7 mm

Application of the stentFIX System

Align the teeth of the clip paral-lel to the stent opening; position 1/3 on the stent mesh and 2/3 on the tissue. Mobilize the tissue by suction.
Optimal adaptation of the clip to the wall.

Aim at application site; align clip tooth rows parallel to stent opening so that tissue and stent mesh are evenly captured; mobilization of tissue into the cap by grasping below the stent mesh
Clip application by turning the hand wheel; optimal adaptation of the clip to the wall

Example *:

Distal fixation of a stent with grasping instrument (ex-vivo model)
